OVER 70 YEARS OF MADE IN ITALY EXCELLENCE

For over 70 years, Roberto Collina has been embodying the excellence of Made in Italy, designing, creating, and packaging all of his knitwear collections in Italy.

Celebrates, today more than ever, the quality, design, workmanship and refinement of its knitwear that have written and continue to write an important part of the history of Italian ready-to-wear to give life to a new frontier of Made in Italy style.

BRAND HISTORY

A world-class family brand born from a small knitwear workshop with an attached school, run by the Collina family. Since the post-war period, the workshop has had innovative machinery used to create the first sweaters destined for the German and Northern European markets.

The small workshop soon became the virtuous center of a region that was changing its production vocation to become the beating heart of the Italian knitwear system.

Amid technological innovations and creative shifts that led the company to collaborate on behalf of third parties with the most important Italian fashion houses, we arrive at the early 1980s when the young Roberto Collina, son of the founders, decided to lend his name to a capsule collection of 33 men's sweaters presented at Pitti Uomo, marking the company's official debut on the international fashion scene.

From this moment on, the success of a brand that encompasses contemporary artistic suggestions and authentic heritage is consolidated, transforming it into a ready-to-wear dominated by quality, beauty and continuous research.

TODAY

Today, Roberto Collina is a young company, employing over 60 people at its Crevalcore headquarters, nearly half of whom are under 35 and women. It successfully continues a legacy of Made in Italy excellence and invests in new generations to perpetuate a vanishing professional heritage.

The complexity of the knitwear industry and the difficulty in recruiting professionals has pushed the company to launch internship programs aimed at training specialized personnel capable of studying and monitoring the creations step by step, from weaving to finishing, from production to quality control, and directly following every step of the production process up to shipping.

A true microcosm dedicated to knitwear, it is also fueled by ad hoc study programs that, in recent years, have culminated in the "Creative Knitwear Design" knitwear master's degree, the only one recognized worldwide and created with the Academy of Costume and Fashion in Rome.

THE BRAND PHILOSOPHY

Balancing tradition and modernity, Roberto Collina's collections embody his personality through an ideal interplay of experimentation, the synergy of which leads to a style that is pure in its lines yet sophisticated and complex in its execution.

The aesthetic that guides the brand's signature is sensitive and refined, translating into an elegant attitude that elevates simplicity to purity and reduces luxury to essentiality. The heart of the maison's style lies in its manufacturing heritage and historic design expertise, which are grafted, in the truest sense of the word, into an innovative aesthetic that emphasizes quality of execution.

THINK BIG

An ethical approach rooted in Italian craftsmanship, a core value that has always characterized its production chain, not only through the purchase and processing of Italian materials but also through its role in scouting new generations to foster virtuous continuity and the transmission of knowledge and ideals. A company that cherishes the past—and not only its own—to the point of creating and maintaining a historical archive of unique pieces—through which to preserve and pass on an inexhaustible heritage—and that is projected into the future, thanks to the seamless computerization of every single aspect. The goal for the near future is to continue consolidating its core business on the international market, fostering a foreign vocation that has led it to generate 60% of its turnover outside of Italy. Roberto Collina collections are distributed in select, world-renowned multibrand stores. Significant investments in communication and diversified projects aimed at nurturing human capital and building a solid product identity characterize Roberto Collina's future.
