Roberto Collina SS24: Home is where the sea is

May 2024
The second drop of the 24 Spring Summer collection invites us to zoom in and focus on the details, discovering a style that seems to align with the famous "less is more" rule through subtle touches and almost imperceptible elements.

Summer is evoked by the light, which appears to be here the cold, ethereal glow of the moon, or more explicitly by summerish decorative elements, such as palm trees standing out against the landscape with their unmistakable silhouette.

References to the sea, natural landscapes and atmospheric elements are abundant throughout the collection as well. Special treatments that corrode the surface creating an irregular texture on sweaters and cardigans, or dresses with sinous transparencies looking like foliage patterns or recalling the movement of waves.

Underlying this is a concept of comfort that combines the luxury of the chosen materials, such as silk chenille and pure cotton, with the enveloping feel of neutral colors that almost feel like a hug, a sort of home away from home. Brightening them up are touches of delicate sequins, as if to represent reflections of the moonlight on the dark sea.

Black elements here and there counterbalance the light tones, with semi-transparent items for men and lingerie-inspired garments, such as bra and coulottes, for women.

A selection of delicate garments straddling land and sea, matter and water, to be discovered now on our online store.
